WHERE I COME FROM

Rev. Curtis Green, a resident of Mount Laurel for 10 years, is husband to Tia of 28 years and father to his three children, Alan, Chance, and Faith, all graduates of the Mount Laurel school district. Curtis was raised in North Jersey in a working-class family where he learned the meaning of honest hard work by watching his father work for NJ Transit for over 35years. This kind of work ethic is reflected in his life today.

Curtis has developed into a progressive educator, speaker, and leader who has spent his life encouraging people to elevate their perspectives and work for a better future.

Curtis has worked in education for over 20 years. Starting as a High School football and track coach, he became a college professor at RCBC and then a high school administrator. He is currently a classroom teacher at Lakewood HS.

Rev. Curtis is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, a Chaplain with the Mount Laurel Police Department, and a veteran of the US Army Reserve.

Curtis holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from Thomas Edison University. He also has three master's degrees, one from the New York Institute of Technology, another from New York University, and a third from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Liberty University.

Curtis is eager to bring his 20 years of experience as an educator to ensure we do everything we can to prepare our students for the challenges of tomorrow.

MISSION STATEMENT

Equality Meets Opportunity

“We need competing voices and not accept the establishment because we are comfortable with it or because it's familiar.  – Change requires change, and sometimes we must stir up the waters.”  Rev. Curtis Green
